I have been offered a set of pre-owned Macgregor USA 2000 irons, 3-SW, with graphite shafts in good condition.

I can't find them on the internet and being new to golf i'm not sure what they're worth and if they're any good!!

Can anyone please help?

Cheers

I've also done a search using all options that I can think of and I'm also unable to find any information on them at all.

My advice would be to consider not buying these irons, even if they are cheap; different irons have different designs and characteristics therefore no one set of clubs will suit all players, and this is more pertinent if you're new to golf.  It's really worth going to a good golf centre/shop that does fitting, preferably dynamic and not static fitting.  The latter only takes into account your body type/size and makes no allowance for your swing, whereas dynamic fitting uses laser/camera technology to measure all aspects of your swing such as: attack angle, speed, face position at impact, launch angle etc. and, armed with this information, your Pro should be able to provide  you with a set of clubs that match your swing and will improve your game.  Fitted clubs do not need to be expensive and the fitting process is normally at no extra charge, but you much happier with the results.

Thanks for the advice. Wow, Technology! I don't think there's any machine that could make clubs for my swing!!! Ha!

zigzag,

If you are in the market for some clubs I have a set of Nike Ignite for sale. I have had them just about 11 months so they are in very good condition.

Why are you selling them and how much are you looking for?

I might have someone in mind if the price is right!!

Steel shafts.
its a long story but here goes. I stopped playing golf about four years ago but when some friends asked me to go to the range last year I went with my clubs and got the bug again. While there I bought the Nike ignite set as my old clubs had seen better days. Nothing wrong with the nike set they are really forgiving and have helped me get down to 16.5
I just got serious again so have treated myself to a set of ping i/10's. They are the closest thing to the original clubs that I first played with as almost a blade so feel comfortable.

I have got them on ebay so best way is to make a bid on there (dibbs1968) and you friend may get them cheap. I could of part ex them but american golf just rip people off and I would rather keep them as spares than give them back to them to sell.
