Hi Folks,

Just played a round at Axe Cliff (Seaton - Devon).

Par 70 course, went out in 49 - came in in 46, total 95.

Well happy, considering no handicap and a novice.

Absolutely beautiful weather and scenery!

It's time to PAR-TEE!!

Just back from Leicester, here's how it went.

Blaby - 9 holes (44)
Six Hills - 18 holes (97)
Blaby - 18 holes (89)

Well chuffed again, had a new putter and is working really well.
The 89 included a couple of nightmare holes as well, hit 9 on one and 11 on the other!!! but included 8 pars!!!

Well done on the round of 89.  Blaby has a course SSS of 65 so if that card was used to calculate your handicap you would end up with a handicap of around 21.0, pretty good going.

Brilliant, don't mean to be thick but what does SSS stand for?

Brilliant, don't mean to be thick but what does SSS stand for?

It stands for Standard Scratch Score and is effectively a measure of the difficulty of the course compared to its Par, for example a course with Par of 70 and SSS of 68 would mean that a scratch golfer would expect to go round two shots under Par.  Hope this explanation helps
