I have recently been disqualified from a four nations comp (four legged comp), I would have won overall if i hadn't had been dq for last round. The dq itself was fair enough i failed to notice that my card had not been signed by marker.
However i was given a prize of a bottle of whiskey for best team score on the day, some hour and half after finishing, it was a shot gun start so all cards were checked prior to prize giving.Team scores and results for teams were also announced, England being victors I played for Ireland who came second.

Although I didn't win on the day it meant I won the best individual prize for the 4 rounds. Also my score was counted in the team event.
Ironically the hcp secretary who dq me some days after has won with my dq.

Should I have been dq after prize giving in this manner?
Should I give prize back.?
Am I entitled to overall prize not yet given?
Are there any rules to cover such events or is it just down to comp organisors.
