| just played clithroe golf course today on a corperate golf day 12 of us played playing a pairs
stableford comp off 3/4 handicap.
me and my playing partner plying off 12 & 18 came 2nd with 37pts loosing by 1 point
I think some people were telling porkies about there handicaps i also won the longest drive approx 280 yards (the best ive ever hit ) right on cue but aided by the excellent fairways and getting a carry off about 40-50 yards
gaining me some much needed balls
about the course on arriving first impressions were " this looks the dogs" this mature parkland course with its perfectly manicured tee,s fairways and very fast greens a credit to the green keeper and his team (cheers) it was a fine warm day and the views were great the pro shop is like alladins cave ive never seen such a well stocked shop
the club house was excellent staff were very polite and the food was top class and plenty of it i will definately play there again and hopefully shoot a better score and contribute more points to the overall score ( sorry alan)
overall i would give this course 10/10: |
