| I played in a competition at my local club, the format was a 9-hole medal but only 3 clubs + putter were allowed (bit of a novelty comp) I was in a four ball and we used to bags to carry the clubs instead of carrying 4 bags (8 clubs in each)
the four of us were disqualified. I have looked in the R&A rulebook to see which rule we breached but I can't find a rule. Could someone shed some light on this issue please and was I correctly disqualified? All I could find in the rulebook was that partners may share clubs as long as the amount of clubs in the bag isn't over the legal limit. I couldn't find any info on individual competitions.
Thank you

| Can't see why you were DQed, unless there is something else we need to know. here is a copy of the relevant decision from the R&A;-
4-4a/4 Partners’ Clubs Carried in One Bag
Q. In a foursome competition, is it permissible for partners to put both sets of clubs in one golf bag, provided each player uses only his own clubs?
A. Yes, provided each player’s clubs are clearly identifiable.
Hope this helps,

| | Anthony makes it clear that they were not partners but playing in an individual competition. |
