| just wondered if someone can tell me the correct rule on the following....
you have a 120 yard carry over water to the green, the first 70 yards of the water is a water hazard, the last 50 yards of the water is a lateral water hazard (red stakes).
You hit your shot but it does not quite carry to the green, it drops 5 yards short into the lateral water hazard part of the lake.
So, do you need to play the ball from where you hit it because you crossed the water hazard at that point ? or do you take a drop nearest point of relief from where your ball dropped into the water because it went into the lateral water hazard part of the lake ? |
